That's a solid solution! Does Scribd sync audiobooks with their text companions? They have How Emotions Are Made on audio and as a digital book. It'd be great if they were able to sync.
Kyle, I didn't get through Lies. I wanted to but life gets in the way sometimes. I wanted to share that I found both "Lies My Teacher Told Me" along with "How Emotions are Made" on Scribd. If you're not familiar with it, it's like Netflix for ebooks & audiobooks. Not every title will be there but if you are not looking to read the newest NYT best seller, so far the choices have pleasantly surprised me. The note taking interface is horrible but I'm here for the content buffet. Hope to be on today's call.

I disagree with the note-taking interface but most audiobook platforms don’t have intuitive interfaces (at least that I’ve used). There’s definitely an opportunity there.
I just figured it out! Do you use Readwiseio? You can take screenshot of you highlight and Readwise will OCR your highlight and save to Evernote! Yay!
